  Rude welcoming. We were instantly and incredibly rudely turned away as soon as we arrived. Looking for a table, what seemed like the pub owner, just shooed us away with his hands then literally told us to go away and leave. This happened to a few people we saw. Used to love this pub and visit often but after that experience I am very unlikely to return. Learn some manners and hospitality PLEASE

  Completely average. My conpliments to the microwave operators. Surly service and witnessed a member of staff at the bar yell out to a French tourist her card had been declined! That was because she was trying to use contactless... Original booking take was as surly when I made it. Food was wholly average and small portion.
  
  Great location but won't be returning any time soon!

  One of my old favourites from when I was a student. Its a old low beamed Inn, really sweet. Lots of good ales and lagers and good reasonably priced pub grub. As a student it was a affordable treat.
  
  Its a staple for many so be warned It can be very busy. x
