  I went here for a tea and scone with my husband and sister in law. The cup for my tea was dirty, we were given no cutlery, and they forgot the jam to go with my scone. I had to go up to the counter 3 times to ask for these things and when I finally sat down to eat my scone, I realised that it was completely inedible because it was stale and rock solid. We had also asked twice for water and they told us that they had no clean glasses and would go and get us some. Each time, I was very polite and understanding but the waiter was completely rude. I asked for an alternative cake but they didn't have my original choice, so I was asked to choose at the counter. The waiter snapped at me and said twice 'what do you want?!' When I was trying to decide. It was bad enough that so many things went wrong and we were so nice and polite about it. The waiter could have at least tried to be apologetic. We never did get our water and two couples beside us left because they were so unimpressed with the service.

  Cappuccino was nice, food was ok.. but service terrible. My partner had to wait half an hour for her meal and the staff didn't even keep us updated on the delay. When we finally did get the food, it wasn't even properly placed on the table. The apology for the delay also felt insincere. Don't want to blame the staff directly as I understand they were busy but nonetheless unacceptable service. Won't be going back specially if in a hurry or looking for decent service.

  Great food. Get the poppy seed porridge. Very filling and very tasty. Quite slow service but def a place you want to take your time eating at.

  I've had soup - leek and potatos. It was nice but it took ages.
