  There is so many lovely coffee houses in Oxford and we were so unlucky to end up in this one. Horrible coffee, noise from the kitchen (and smell) and the staff was quite unfriendly. Will not visit again...

  I was very excited to visit one of England's "Oldest Coffee Houses" founded in 1654. I guess I should have read more into it. I know that cappuccinos were not part of the first coffee houses and that espresso machines didn't even come on to the scene until 1884 and didn't go commercial until years later, but if you cannot make something, don't put it on your menu. Specialize, do one thing exceptionally, and leave the bad espresso drinks for chain coffee shops. I digress.
  
  We arrived and ordered two cappuccinos. These were not made as cappuccinos, if anything they more closely resembled a latte. The milk consistency was terrible, so if the "barista" working there is reading this, watch some YouTube videos and learn to foam milk. Consistency is everything. The cappuccinos came out with large bubbles on top in an attempt at foam. The drinks tasted more like a Nescafe Packet of cappuccino and they were scalding hot. It was terrible. To add insult to injury he made us the large when we ordered the regular and charged us for the large. We left this place very disappointed. I cannot speak to the Turkish Coffee here, but as I said before, pick something and be good at it and let your customers know that's what you make. I would never come here for an espresso drink again.
